I picked up a real steal, 78 – 4.5” x 8’ pieces of mystery lumber at our local Home Depot for $5.00. The lumber was returned from some job site in pretty poor shape and was going to be crushed. I told the lumber manager I would take it and got charged the whopping $5.00.

When I found out the Home Depot was going to have a safety fair with our local Fire and Police Departments, I decided to make a couple of distressed flags for the employees to sign. The stripes were cut on my table saw then the edges were chamfered on my table router. The stars were drawn with a stencil then carved out with a dremel.
