This is by far the largest project I ever undertook. I have well over 1000 hours in the design and building of this ceiling. I am not sure how much I should write about this project and what if anything others might be interested in. I am a very hunble guy and feel like I am braging or drawing attention to myself. I am not very comfortable with that. I can only say I would be glad to share what anyone might want to know about this project. As I said before HGTV spent a week filming my home and this ceiling is going to be featured in a up coming show ( January 26 2007 6:00 ET. The program is called “LOOK WHAT i DID” I never sought this tv program out and only after several attempts and a long story did I agree to let them film my work. I had never really shared any of my work ( the historical restoration of my turn of the century home). In addition to building of over 143 pieces of mission furniture .

I am in awe – of the work, the upcoming TV episode, and the quantity of pieces you have completed.
Magnificent.

Great Dusty, & I’m glad to see some body else from Minnesota. I tried to look this morning, but internet explorer was down. It was worth waiting for. You should feel extra proud of yourself, & all the other projects I’ve seen on your website. Add some more of your projects. Please!

I’m wishing I had cable. I’d love to see it. I have a different idea about humility. Sometimes it takes alot of humility to say you are good at something.

This is really cool Dusty! I love stained glass. I am trying to figure out how to integrate some into my projects. My wife has taken a few classes. Do you usually plan it out?

Gizmodyne.
I am not sure what you mean by your question ” do you usually plan it out”.
Perhaps if you were to be a big more specific I could help you better.
If you mean this ceiling, yes I did plan it out. It took me over 100o hours to build that. I have been asked how I did it along with several questions about how I did the wood frame.
I plan on after I finish my “This Old Crack House” series to do a blog on this ceiling and several of the pieces of wood furniture that I have incorporated stain glass in.
