THIS BENT GUITAR TABLE IS MADE FROM BIRD’S EYE CURLY MAPLE, VERY FIGURED PIECES. I GLUED UP THE TAPERED PIECES, THEN ADDED HARD MAPLE TO THE BOTTOM FOR ANOTHER LAYER TO GIVE IT THE THICKNESS. I CUT AND SHAPED THE BODY, THEN CUT IT APART AND MITERED IT BACK TOGETHER TO FORM THE BEND. I USED NICE BIRD’S EYE MAPLE, TAPERED, FOR THE LEGS. I MADE THE KNOBS, PICKUPS AND BRIDGES BY GLUING UP MAPLE, JATOBA, PURPLEHEART, AND WALNUT TO GIVE CONTRASTS AND LOOK LIKE THE SHAPE OF THE ACTUAL PARTS.
IT IS AIR BRUSHED RED, THEN BLACK AROUND THE EDGES. I ALSO AIR BRUSHED THE LEGS AND NECK THE SAME WAY. IT IS FINISHED IN HIGH GLOSS LACQUER.
