Segmented turned clock

Still obsessed by clocks:)) This time my first segmented turning project. I love segmented turning, possibilities are endless! Wood used: walnut, padauk, maple; sanded and buffed this far.. Curious if it needs some poly or lacquer finishing.. What do you think guys?

Unique design, I like it. How did you attach the wheel.. er, uh legs?

Its a hanger bolt, lag-screw edge goes into the leg, then machine-bolt edge gets tighten by nut/washer insight the clock housing compartment. No glue added. I used oscillating drum sander to make little angled notches on the outside of clock compartment.

Interesting design…..... I like it. Finish looks good from here, but for how long? Yes maybe some lacquer would be nice.
