My first jointers mallet, and I learned a few things. This was all made of scrap pallet wood and titebond 3 glue
1. Next time I need to make sure the faces are flatter for less of a gape
2. Set the handle better, First I used wedges and no glue :(, The handle came out, but no damage, added some glue and reset the handle. This time its unmovable.

I finished it with BLO and I’ve had a chance to use it, and its great.

Nice! Did you weight it in any way? Shotgun pellets or anything?

No didn’t think to weigh it down anymore. It’s pretty heavy now, I guess, maybe 1 1/4 1 1/2lb?
