Made this box and kept track of the time it took to make it because when ask I never know .
This box is made from the Mahogany I used on the previous box I posted and will be a nice little present at Christmas time I may make a few more as they will make nice gift boxes for smaller presents .
The box measures 9” X 5” X 4 1/4” and is carved with a carbide burr using my laminate trimmer and totally made on the table saw . The lid is held in place with four locator pins which worked out well Now I need to make a liner for the bottom .
A quick and easy box to make and another one down for Christmas .

Despite only tree hours it is a very nice box. Well done Klaus and your production quota is still okay.

Must of had lots of Turkey on the weekend, so much energy to burn HaHa. So 1 hour to build box and 2 to carve it? You need some more Mahogany, I have a whole stack of finished boards, pretty sure I could spare a few!

Carving took 15 min I did the boards first and then cut and assembled was a good way to work off the turkey .
I hope you are in the shop making things .
Yes I am always interested in more wood and would appreciate it .

Really nice box. Three hours, though? It would take me that long to find the right boards.

The wood is not the best for grain and color that’s why I did the carving which is easy .

Why am I not surprised to read it only took you 3 hours to put together this very handsome box. I bet your fancy box clamp’s had something to do with it. Nice work as always Klaus.
