I like making finely sanded boxes and I also enjoy making my own textures.
I figured it was time to combine both.
One of my Louisiana Sinker Cypress boards just happened to be leaning against the wall near my table saw and volunteered for the project. It took about 7 hours to make..not counting glue drying time.
This is the result and it will be going to my show this weekend at the Festival Acadiens in Lafayette.

I believe if this box could talk it could tell some history of the area. Very unique style and texture.

This is a great box and a wonderful eye catcher. You put a lot of fine character and craftsmanship in this piece.
