This is the same cherry log as some of my natural edged bowls. I decided to cut a peppermill out of some of it. I have enough left for another 6” dia bowl. I posted some of the process. Karson and I have been exchanging pictures of the center support I made. It just uses roller blade wheels from Goodwill. I couldn’t bore out the peppermills without it. This will take a 12” peppermill mechanism. I get my mechanisms from packardwoodworks.com and chefspecialties.com. I like Packard a little better as they are very quick and have some real cool lathe accessories. If you need replacement parts then go to chef specialties (my opinion only). It is about 13” tall and an OD of about 2.25”. It is sanded to a 1000 grit, oiled and then it will be buffed and polished after a few days to give the walnut oil a chance to really dry.

Fantastic mill. Wonderful figure in the wod and your design enhances the grain. Thanks for the pics on the center support. I need to make one of those one day.(along with several other jigs)

Keep it up.
