Modern Bedroom Wall Unit

their bedroom was small & needed efficient clothes storage. I took one wall and designed a modern piece with touch latch doors and drawers. I made it only 21” deep. I used blonde maple with tung oil & urethane top coats. The only place for decoration was the front, right, vertical corner. I placed a 2” X 2” piece of maple there so I could use a large router bit to ‘radius’ that corner. You’ll see how I did the counter top to match. All we had to do was reposition the power & data lines, install this puppy both level & true …and wrap the floor & ceiling with molding. I made our molding to match.
The client is very happy.
Many companies are making undermount, touch latch slides. They release & push close nicely & are as silky as undermounts are.
I don’t usually do modern so it was fun for a change. Minimalism.
