My variation on a Morris Chair

Finally! My take on the Morris chair is done. I finished the chair itself several years ago, but with moving to Colorado and other life stuff, I did not have time to get it upholstered until now. FWIW for the Denver area folks, there is a great little upholstery shop in Lyons. I purchased the hide at Tandy Leather. The Upholstery Shop did a great job for a very reasonable price. Thanks to Mark from the as always for the inspiration and guidance.

Wow! The detail in the arm is beautiful! And that’s my kind of relaxing – sit on a Morris chair in front a a crackling fire… I think that’s what Heaven is like :-) Great job. Is it cherry wood?

Great looking Morris chair! Looks like you’ve got a great location to sit and enjoy the ambiance!

Thanks folks,
Yes it is cherry. It was fun to make, just wish it hadn’t taken so long to get upholstered.
The fire helps on a day like today. Almost 9 inches of snow.
