I made these boxes as Christmas gifts back in 2008. I appologize for the picture quality, but I didn’t have a really good digital camera at the time. The first box in picture 1 is made from mahogany with an amber shellac finish and the one in picture 2 is walnut with a lid made from ambrosia maple with a spray lacquer finish. Both boxes were made with simple rabbet joints at the corners. I did all the joinery on my benchtop craftsman router table.
