Just finished this carving today. Carved from a log off my neighbors tree, don’t know what kind of tree it is. Oil based paint and boiled linseed oil for color, and waterbased poly for finish. Kind of a quick carving but I’m pleased with the result. Hope you are too.

After looking at it for a while, I wasn’t so happy with it so I went back and carved it a little more. Now it’s done.

Very nice detail work. For a “quick carving” it is wonderful, heck if it were a not so quick carving it would still be wonderful.

Thank you. lol. When I say quick I really only worked on it for two days. It’s about a foot tall.
