The chest was made for my wife. (E.M.)
The top carving is not my work, my buddy had it in his garage. It was a bit small, I had to make a frame, to fit as a top. Only the E and the M letters are made by me.
The side walls and the bottom are made of red fence cedar boards. The handle made of a piece of 2×4 cedar board by band saw and sander. The finish is Minwax® Paste Finishing Wax.

Very nice chest. I like the carving too, no matter who did it.

Very nice! I like the carving, the tapered sides and the arch on the bottom.

Thank you for your comments.
But, as I said before, the carving was made by somebody else, my friend gave it to me. He knows only that it was made in Europe, because his relatives left with him this carving. They are from Europe, probably from Poland. The wood could be santal, because the sweet smell, while I was sanding it at the frame.
The letter E and M was made by me, out of a piece of hard wood, which was taken from a machine skid, which come from Taiwan.
