This is my latest pen project, it is 1 Perfect Fit pen in gold plating and 1 Perfect Fit pen in copper plating. They are dressed in Burmesian Teak wich was cut down for over 100 years ago. The teak was the original deck onboard at Bergen´s pride SS Statsraad Lehmkuhl, she was built in Bremerhafen, Germany between 1912 and 1914. You can read more abaot the ship at www.lehmkuhl.no
The wood is diaghonal sawn in 45 degrees.
The pens are sanded to 400 grit and polished to 12000 MicroMesh and given 5 layers of Blo/Ca.
The wood is not stained, the dark color comes from nearly 100 years of washing with seawater.
Thanks for looking.
Øistein

Nice looking pens and thanks for the historical notes, it makes the pens seem somewhat more valuable.
We may be related, but probably not, somewhere in the past as my mother’s maiden name was Jensen and her ancestors immigrated long ago from the Denmark area?

Very nice pens Øistein. I agree that the story about the wood does add value to this beautiful work. I have seen this fantastic sailing ship on several occasions, but I haven’t been onboard.
