Saw a version of this on The Woodsmith Shop on tv and thought it was a great idea. I made one change in cutting off part of the block so the glue cup would be slightly below the level of the brush. Otherwise the brush tended to roll and Murphy’s Law would make sure it would roll off and land on the most damaging thing possible. Seriously though, for a scrap piece of 2×4 and about 15 minutes of your time, you get something that can save you a headache later on.

I remember seeing this too, but haven’t made one yet. I probably should though as it looks very useful. What’s your source for the condiment cups? Dollar store or amazon? or somewhere else? Thanks for posting this.

Yeah, me too.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Cool tip. I am off to the local Mexican Restaurant to raid the salsa cups.

You can get them at Walmart but if that’s not close look at Dollar Stores or similar stores.
