I got all this Walnut lumber from a guy who owns a personal mill. The longest pieces laying down are 7’ and it goes all the way down to 3’. The thick slabs on top are walnut as well. The boards standing in front of the stack are cherry – he threw those in for free!! The last picture is one of the walnut boards squared and cleaned up!! All the boards have been drying for 4 years. Most of them are 5/4”+ thick – the thick ones up top are about 3-4” thick. Got all of it for $60

Now…what to make….????.....(maybe a cutting board for starters..since i’m hooked..but no good at it)

it sounds like he threw it all in for free. he didn’t get enough for labor even. sometimes good luck comes our way. nice buy.

You can brag! That is a terrific deal, did he have any more or did you run out of money? Now have fun making sawdust and shavings.

no he has TONS more…..i took maybe 1% of the walnut. He had started out wanting to create a small business selling all this wood, but it didnt take off (not sure why). he has been sitting on it forever, and so he was giving me the walnut for $1.50 a board ft, but as we were sorting through it, he kept throwing ones in for free…then at the very end he gave me all that cherry for free! I went there with only $60, and thats what I got. Next time I’ll bring more money! :)

Oh oh!

I see Snipe holes on the end grain of that lumber, we wouldn’t want the rest of your lumber in your shop to be infected. so I will swing by and take it off your hands. Also those fine looking clamps you made also look infected.

And besides the walnut lumber would only be a distraction from your chiropractic studies.

seriously good score on the wood, you might have to make the sawyer something.

We might just have to start a new category of “super gloat”. Congrats on the awsome purchase.

So much wood wasted on the young. You should be out chasing girls not stuck in some dusty old shop. I’ll come and get it so you won’t have to waste all that time.
