This is the new design I have been working on lately.. in-between blogging about my trip…
Slanted
Woven
Dished
Made from recycled silky oak aka lacewood with silver ash and purple heart… of course..
Was a lot of fun glueing this sucker up I can tell you… but the results are worth all the swearing.. lol
The Torque Workcentre dished out the interior of the Lazy Larry quicker than I could have set it up in a lathe..
Finish is Tung Oil Finish…
What do you think and where do I go from here?

WOW! That, my friend, is impressive, no… phenomenal!

I guess a straight basket weave just wouldn’t suffice, hey?

If you want to know where to go from here, it would be the new Cutting Board and Wooden Dish Hall of Fame I hear they’re going to be opening sometime soon. ;-)

I have not read your blog in a couple of weeks, so apologize, but did you blog about this?

It can not be nicer than this. I love it very much. I’m looking forward to next surprise.

For the life of me, I cannot get my mind around that work you do with the cutting boards. This one is tremendous! Thanks for sharing.

You are the king of cutting boards!
This is one of the best you’ve made, in my humble opinion!

Very cool Larry . Where do you go from there? How about a spider inlayed in the center?

This looks like something I’m not going to attempt.
I will leave this one to the master board maker.
It looks FAB !!
Where to go from here ? You got me on that one…..

This awesome design would look fabulous made into a vase of some kind, I can almost picture it but I really don’t have the grasp on how to do that.
