I haven’t posted anything on here in quite a while so here is my latest project for our house. It’s a full wall entertainment unit made out of rift sawn white oak. All cabinet interiors are pre finished birch and since I was doing slab doors the white oak pieces are made out of 3/4” veneer sheets. I incorporated our tv, Paradigm speakers and all the electronics into the unit. I made 2 pullouts on either side of the tv for my blu-rays and then most of the other cabinets are for my dvd collection. Yeah I have a few, lol. I also made 3 spots above the tv for plants to break it up a little.

Nice contemporary design! I like your DVD storage space (as in lack of any wasted space 8^)

I made a large entertainment unit years ago. The design started out to support a large screen CRT and by the time I finished LCD flat screens were everywhere. I still cringe at the wasted space behind the TV set…..

Nice design.

What did you finish the oak with?

A great unit. I like the straight design. How do the pullouts slide, with that heavy load?

Boy Howdy! What a beautiful wall unit. The entertainment center looks wonderful in this unit and look at all of the extra storage. You did a fine job on this.
