I bought some new Bessey clamps from Rockler and the first thing I had to do was to find a place to store them. My first thought was to build a new hanger somewhere in my small 2 car garage workshop, but I did not want the clamps to be stored at multi places so I finally decided to extend the clamp holder I had as shown. With glue and pocket hole screws I think the cantilever design will work especially if I can train myself to store the longer heaver clamps toward the inside.

This is a nice bar clamp organizer for your shop.

Rule 1 with clamps: You can never have too many clamps. I have them stored along the wall using a 2×2 on a 1×6 that is screwed into the wall and clamp them to the 2×2. I also use the sides of the wood rack to clamp the smaller ones.

I like your idea better since I wouldn’t have to clamp them in place, just find an empty slot. Another shop layout idea to add to the “shop improvement” list.
