heres a box i just finished as a thank you for a doctor friend for taking exceptionally good care of my dad recently. hees jewish so i thought a star of david would be appropriate. its figured quartersawn walnut with curly maple leggs and drawer. the finish is 10ish coats of lacquer sanded with 800 grit and rubbed with 4f pumice then rottenstone. iv decided i hate lacquer and prolly wont use it again unless i get a real spray system.

Beautiful box!! You may hate lacquer, but you did a nice job with it. The finish really brings out the beauty of the wood.
