Got this one completed and installed a little while ago. I actually found the plaque at work in very bad shape (heavy oxidation and scratches/gouges) in a storage shop. Took some time restoring the plaque and finishing it with clear lacquer. The wood is some tiger maple that I had left over from another project. I asked for a donation from a local counter top manufacturer for the Corian . Was a very fun project finding ways to integrate different materials. Finished with a Amber Varnish. All the time and materials were donated to the school. Everyone is happy with how it turned out. It was a very proud day for me unveiling it.

Very eye-catching. Nice use of Corian. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Corian incorporated into a woodworking project before. Thanks for sharing.

You have every right to be proud of this. Nice work. I like using the corian color to accent the plaque and the beautiful wood grain.
