I saw kits for miniature birdhouses in my woodturning catalog. I thought about buying the kit but then I found the plans on a link from the catalog online and was able to download how to plans for free. So with stock I have on hand I made this, my first one. The body is cherry and the roof is mahogany. The finials I turned from, well, I’m not sure. It came from pallet wood aquired from our local plywood mill. This one is finished with Mylands wax finish. There is more to come. These are fun.

So sweet, where do you find birds that match?

Hey Paul and Scrappy, it’s no secret. Here’s the catalog address, then click on the “Instruction downloads” near the bottom of their web site. There are plans for four birdhouses there, and a whole lot of other stuff for turners. Have fun, I did.

Thank you very much for the link. It’s been saved to my favorites. Lots of great info and I’m glad for the plans too.

Thank again Woodbear!
