Miter saw upgrade

I saw many of these types of miter saw stands here on LJ and after waiting what seems like forever for one to show up along the road I decided to be proactive and made a request on Freecycle for one. The next day I got a reply and now after a few hours work I have a very cool Miter saw stand that I can wheel around, take outside and move around my shop. Yeaaa!
I made the fence out of some freecycled plywood and 2×3s I got a few days ago and the hardware I already had. I will probably not leave the ends clamped and just bolt them in later, I’m bushed.

Nice craftsmanship on the fence and stops. It blends right into the saw and should work smooth as silk. BTKS

Excellent score on Freecycle… I love recycling stuff like that!
