The base of this bowl is made from Monterillo, the middle level is Walnut with wide spacers which are actually 4 piieces of Book-matched Maple set to display the end grain. The Grain is not extremely pronounced in Maple but maybe the fact that you have to look at it up close and personal to appriciate it is not all bad. The rim is made from Bloodwood and Maple a contrasting combination which I really like.
The bowl is about 10.75” in diameter and is about 3.5” tall. The finish is Tung Oil.

beautifull bowl.
I imagine all the details you went through to get this nice coordination of colors.

Another fantastic segmentation. Great color/wood combo.
Keep it up.

Bill, I’m going to quit looking at your turnings because it makes me so envious. Your work is so superb. It makes my head hurt to try to figure out the cutting angles. OK, OK, keep putting these out, I really do enjoy looking at your BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK.
