Coffee table with lift top

Wife wanted a new coffee table. Cherry top and painted white pine base. Cheated with pocket screws to make the top box but the cross X’s were hand cut. There is no better feeling than a hand cut joint that goes together the first time you test fit it. Lift hinges from Amazon and work well. It is a little wide for the hinges but open easily using both hands.

This is a nice table. Congratulations.

I like the idea of top opening. I will try to Google/Amazon/E Bay for some opening hinges.
