Had some fun Saturday morning working up a piece out of Lignum Vitae also known as “Ironwood”
I may create a more suitable handle at a later date. The light and dark grain occured because it was a small limb with the heart wood being only 1 1/2” or so. Very pretty wood indeed.

Thanks for the nice comments. I mostly make them for my own collection. I suspect I will sell off some of them one day. I did sell one of the foot long walnut daggers for $60 a few weeks ago.I’m going to have to get busy and locate some additional wood pretty soon.
