With “Fathers Day” in Australia this weekend so Guessing Competition toy was needed for the local Boys & Girls Club.
I was only given 2 weeks to work out what to do and get it built.
The toy had to be able to hold a good load of lollies/candies for the Guessing Competition.
I wanted the vehicle to look a little different to previous builds as well as interesting strong toy ready for play, so an old style tipper.
The design is simple but still took over 12hours to construct.
The timbers are Cypress Pine front mudguards, Pacific Maple engine, Jarrah cabin, Spotted Gum chassis, Radiata Pine tipper back sides; the tipper pivot is 5/16” dowel with the tailgate 1/4” dowel with furniture buttons for lights and shop bought wheels. I’ve added 3-4 coats of clear to finish off the truck.

Some good fun for the children/gymnastics plus some funds raised for the community club.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the Aussie dads on this great forum… !

-- Lifes good, Enjoy each new day...... Cheers from "On Top DownUnder" Crowie

Looking good Mate,
Not fair though, you know how many lollies are in there.
Great job and I’m sure someone will have a lot of fun with it.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Very cute idea with candies in a truck. You made this undercarriage and the cabin very well.

crowie, I’m no sweet tooth, but I leave my options open for a bribe. Just drop a load at Churchill the net time you drive through.

Nice job.
