5 drawer Chest of drawers. Mainly out of Curly Maple, with Black Walnut trim. Right now has a few coats of Amber Shellac…..waiting to see IF a coat or two of varnish will be needed.

Frame & Raised Panel sides. Top is 4/4” thick, with Walnut accents. Ends of the drawers are trimmed with a strip of Black Walnut, to “hide” the through dovetails. Last picture is after a good sanding.

Panels were “raised” using a handplane…or two. Mainly hand tools used, other than a bandsaw.
Stands 37” tall, is 30” side to side, and about 15-1/2 front to back.

Small, simple, little project…kind of fun to do.

Thanks for looking in!

Beautiful. I believe this may be the best piece I have seen from you.

Very nice looking chest of drawers—I especially like that maple/walnut combination!

Strong work on that handsome “Chester drawers”. I’m impressed yet again, Ban

I really like the Walnut trim accents. They add a lot to the piece.

Well done.

Great job. Love the walnut and maple together.

I like the wood combo and the raised panels are my favorite. Nice work.

I would love to see some shots of how you fitted the dust frames in. This is the style I am looking for for a couple of projects I have on the drawing board.

Hand cut dovetails and we don’t get to see em?

Bandit is holding out on us :^)

Beautiful!
I agree with Maniac Matt, I want to see the drawer dovetails!
