Here is the tote I made for the swap that went to Gary, doubleG469. I was a little conflicted during this build because I had an idea in my mind that would just not come together for me. But in the 11th hour this design hit me and I think it really came off well. The use of stainless rod gives it a bit of a modern twist and I have been wanting to use metal with the walnut.

I was rushed to get this packed and shipped that I had to steal a picture with beer in it from Gary. I really need to work on the photography side of my woodworking game.

All in all it was a fun quick build that was a nice distraction before fall classes start. Thanks Kenny for organizing it.

Damnit! I hate when Kenny’s right.

Excellent tote Pooh. Seriously, my wife loved this one almost as much as the one Bill sent.

Pooh that’s an upstanding tote ;) Glad the pics are oriented correctly lol

Seriously, I like the concept and execution. It’s reminiscent of an old glass milk bottle tote. The contrast of materials is great. Nice work!

Well Gary at least you might get to look at it every now and again.

Bill it is always a crap shoot to which way they will go.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Really nice and original design! I like the look of the metal with walnut!

Very cool. Where did you buy your SS rod from and what size is it?

Is metal rod just epoxied to the wood?

Awesome design.Quite interesting idea to use metal rods as contrast to dark wood. Beautiful!
