I have been meaning to revamp this work bench for a while now, it is just not as functional as it could be. Put some wheels on it last month that made it better. I previously had one center mounted 3/4 inch box drawer with no slides, it was really heavy and full of junk. Figured it was time to try the full extension slides, they are awesome.

Build:

(2) 24” full extension
1/2” drawer boxes, with dado’d 1/4” bottom. I put some runners on the bottom because I wasn’t sure if this was beefy enough.

Frame is 1×8. Didn’t build a traditional carcass with a top and bottom, just drilled 1×8 into bench legs and top. One middle 1×8 is mounted to the top with Pocket Screws. On the bottom, I did put two 1×8 runners underneath for support.

Not a pretty project, but maybe it gives some one else an idea to build something.

That is a very nice mobile workbench.
