I’m agreeing with this, but
I was thinking more replace the bottom, maybe two toned. Make it a design feature.

When im turning and i can hear it getting thin, it gives me the heebie jebbies. There is a thing in turning known as the last pass you shouldnt take…

Thanks for the kind words folks. I defiantly plan to finish it. It’s spalted maple and I have a bit of Cherry kicked around. Not to sure how to mount it. Any thoughts would be great.

I turned a plug same diameter and glued it. Can’t even tell now.
