The builders started putting the roof sheathing on just before they called it quits for the day, so I expect tomorrow I’ll have a roof over my head. Yesterday a fellow from the Gen’l Contractors office came out and we picked the roof shingles (to match the garage) and we picked the color of the walls (to match the house).
The track and hinges for the 8’ unloading door are here and I expect that it will be built and installed within the next couple of days. They also epoxied the threaded rods to the cement slab, and tomorrow after it is dry they can bolt the top plate to the slab. All in all things are going very well and I may be moving in this weekend !!

Your crew has got more done in the last week than my contractor did in 3 months! Looking great!
Are you sure you can’t wait for the full cure on the slab in order to epoxy the floor before you move in? It’s the only chance you’ll ever have of getting it done in one shot, if you ever get it done at all…

The Gen’l. Contractor is D.S. Killian and I have been very impressed with him and his crew, and sub-contractors all along. They have kept me informed, been very respectful, answered all of my questions and done excellent work. I could not have done better…....for once my “Picker” worked. I’ve said all along that I have a defective “picker” as I always seem to be on the short end of the stick. Well, not this time. The job could not be going more to my liking. These people provide all the “extras”.

Calgal. I would have figured that the color of the roofing and siding would have been done long before now.
You said that they checked with you on the colors and then they are going to start putting it up in a day or two. They must know their suppliers!

Karson,
They are going to build the 8’ door and put it up in a day or two….not the shingles and paint! I don’t know if these builders are going to place the shingles and paint, or if another sub-contractor does the work.
