My wife’s friend was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31. As a show of support the Mrs. wanted to buy a customized necklace and asked that I make a box to send it in. As purple was her friends favorite color, I was pretty stoked to discover purpleheart wood. I topped it with a piece of maple. Our friend is now cancer free and doesn’t show any signs of it coming back!

This was my first box and I learned a lot during this project. Like why its important to square up your table saw…
