Another in the series of wormy burl bowls. This one is box elder. With pieces like this, I sometimes agonize over whether to apply a finish. On the one hand, I know a finish will offer some protection against dirty, oily hands and will make the colour and figure pop. On the other hand, I love the texture and feel of the wormy bare wood. Usually, unfinished wins out in the end. Customers tend to buy these pieces with art in mind more so than function. This piece is about 8 inches in diameter and 5/16 inch wall thickness.

Awesome job on that sweet looking bowl. Love the worm holes.

Very valuable, as it is holy.
