My mother in law asked us to build her a flag for her brother’s birthday. She wanted an Army emblem attached to the flag since he was in the service. I always love building these flags for a our fellow heroes. Never served myself, but I couldn’t think of a better way to honor our dear Veterans.

As a Vet, I thank you for building such a lovely flag. Care to share how you did the stars…are the cut or painted on?

Thank you! The stars are dremmeled out. No paint.

Sorry to keep asking, but trying to get my head around it. Did you free hand cut the stars or use a template? Perhaps a closer picture of the starts. How ever you made them, it sure is nice. After reading your other post with the USMC flag I think I understand how you made the stars

I made a template and cut the stars out of the template. Then put the template on the flag and traced the outlines onto the flag and the. Dremeled them out by hand

More power to you using the dremel on the starts. I use a scroll saw, but a dremel, I know I would mess them up. Thanks for all the info

This is a very nice American flag and the insignia is a great detail. Nice work!
