This is a combination on slack time.

I had a new whittlin’ knife and grabbed a stick laying around and carved out this stick snake, many moons ago.
Another time I was playing with the dremel and some antler and the turtle ended up being.
They’ve been sitting around the shop forever.

Then I tried a box making jig on some scrap cedar pieces and ended up with a little box. that sat around the shop for months.

So, one day, messing around again, I stuck them all together, lol.

This is the playing around box…..............

Nice playing around box Jack, the snake on top really adds to it. Well done.

Nice box, unique. When I play around with my whittlin’ knife I just end up with a stick that is sharp on one end.

Band-aids are usually the result of me playing around with my whittlin’ knife. Jack, that is really cool. Sure looks like you planned that from the very beginning, not over a long period of time. Very cool.

That’s a great box! Have to admit, I’m more like RichardMu (but not quite as bad as huff – haha). I really like the turtle and snake together.

I like it. But almost too scary to touch with the snake on top. : )

You got to love it when things come together like that. A very nice looking box indeed!
