First off a big Thank You! to Rustfever here for giving us the wood.

This is my 13 yo daughter Olivia’s project. I helped with cutting the raw wood into boards for her to use. The rest is all her.
It’s a music box she made from honey locust with a claro walnut burl bottom and inside dividers. The movement is a Sankyo 18 note movement that plays Fur Elise.
She tied for Reserve Champion in the 4H woodworking division at the SW Washington State Fair this year. The box is still waiting to be picked up so I don’t have more pictures right now.
My reward was time in the shop with her and seeing how proud and happy she was with her work.

This box turned out nicely. The ribbons are a testament to that. Beautiful work!
