This is my 3 bin hamper i just finished for one of my favorite customers. She showed me a similar deal from i think pottery barn or something but the one she saw was very small in comparison. So we ramped it up a bit, each door is a fall-front bin 12×12x30’’ with a Muslin bag, grommeted, hanging on little brass hooks. For the hinge at the bottom i just bored a 1/4 hole an inch from the bottom of each door on the sides and and 1-1/16th” from the bottom of each stile of the frame. then i made little pins from 1/4” steel round stock for the doors to pivot on. the bottom is pegboard for breathing purposes (it is a place for stinky clothes) and the back is 3/8 hw/pw. I finished it with minwax dark walnut and topcoated with minwax polyshades in antique walnut to give it a muted finish, then the top got a couple spray coats of satin poly for added protection from pictures, keys and whathaveyou sliding around on top. At the end of the day i wanted to carry it into the house instead of deliver it but maybe i’ll build myself one someday (yeah right! who has the time to build THEMSELVES something lol) Let me know what you fella’s think!

Nice hamper. These days few people have dedicated rooms for laundry. A bin that doubles as furniture is a great idea.
