Black Walnut Bowls, set of 3

The large bowl is 14” X 5.5”. Finished with BLO and Poly. I have been liking a flattened out bottom roughly the size of the base lately and these 3 are turned that way although it is hard to see in photos. It seems to make the poly application a little more difficult than a rounded bottom. This is the other half of the block of wood from which I turned the natural edge bowl I finished and posted in 2015. Where has the time gone?

Wow, love Walnut! Bowls turned out fantastic! (Again) The grain in the large one is incredible.

The bowls look great John. It is hard to see in the picture but that is a good idea. I’ll have to give it a try.
