Black Walnut Bowls, set of 3

The large bowl is 14” X 5.5”. Finished with BLO and Poly. I have been liking a flattened out bottom roughly the size of the base lately and these 3 are turned that way although it is hard to see in photos. It seems to make the poly application a little more difficult than a rounded bottom. This is the other half of the block of wood from which I turned the natural edge bowl I finished and posted in 2015. Where has the time gone?

Beautiful bowls, John. Did you use a McNaughton cutter on them?

The bowls look great John. It is hard to see in the picture but that is a good idea. I’ll have to give it a try.
