We just finished this nice 42×90” dining table with carved maple leaves on the corners of the legs … The design was a blend of two other tables we made previously for other clients … Will started with a google image to get the overall proportios but then gathered some leaves to get the feeling of the veining and stem patterns. The ‘line’ background he came up with to set the leaf off in its frame … More info and bigger photos on my dorset custom furniture blog.

Fine Woodworking or should I say Very Fine Woodworking. The carving is what initially caught my eye but the finish is exquisit.

Sometimes when a project is posted, you’re not sure if the author of the posting is a pro or not. Then there are postings like this, which leave no doubt that a true craftsman has created this work of art. Wow, that is great work.

Very tasteful, a premium piece.
