Project Information
I built this little sideboard for my wife for our anniversary. it is about 16" deep by 36" wide.
The design is based upon one by Brad Rodriquez of FixThisBuildThat. I made some changes in size and only did one drawer based on a design suggestion from my daughter.
I used hardwood flooring to make the top, and some 5/8 underlayment for the structural plywood since these were leftover from an install earlier in the year. I also had the bead-board left over from my build of mud-lockers earlier this year.
I expected she would want a painted top. (she really likes black and white) but I tried staining the top first. Came out pretty well so I may use this at some point in the future. In the end we painted it black.
She loaded it before the knobs came so contents are in my final pictures. Its being well used already!
