Spalted Blue Stain Pine Vase

We have been working with spalted blue stain pine. This is one of the 15 vases and bowls we have made recently. It has no stain added just a polyacrylic finish. Each piece we turn is unique and the wood dictates the shape. This vase is made from blue stain Ponderosa. It is a bright spot for us to see something beautiful can be made out of the red and dead trees that are all around us. We are also making rustic blue stain pine benches and working on more ideas to utilize the abundant blue stain pine beetle kill wood.
