Strange things are happening to me and my carving. In the last post I mentioned that I helped build a 14 foot long staircase. The stringer was two lengths of lam beam and for an old guy like me it appeared to weigh a ton! Perseverance and a lot of gasping at the upper and lower air vents of one’s body, my friend and I got the stringers in place. Adding treads and risers the staircase became a reality. There were some cutoffs and you guessed it I got a few odd pieces and my boot creating brain got going. The result – BOOT from Mars. An alien appeared and I just kept going. Hope you enjoy this piece of work and find the alien!

Enjoy!
The Bootman!

That is gorgeous. Probably the most interesting use of a glue lam I’ve ever seen.

LOVE IT>

Great job man.

Bob

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Roman, this boot is amazing and the wood is out of sight. This boot displays a lot of fine details and craftsmanship.
