This is a 12” x 12” Redwood Burl Bowl. Finished with my new favorite finish Jasco Tung Oil. Three coats buffed in with cotton rags. The design is relativley simple there wasn’t much bad wood to work around and I tried to keep as much figure as possible. Sanded to 320 grit, and polished between coats with OO steel wool. The finish Jasco Tung Oil doesn’t seem to darken redwood nearly as much as regular Tung Oil cut with Mineral Spirits. Now the trick is to find an economical supply of this product.

Stunning character on this burl. Not to wild and not to plain.
I also love the shape you made this one.

Very nice bowl. Love the shape and wood. Nice grain lines.

Keep it up.

Beautiful grain and nice ripple effect with the design.

The design shows the wood off beautifully. Well done!
