Late Little Christmas boxes

Ohhhhh are they ever late. Started with the best intentions, put aside for bigger things.

Had a little trouble finding walnut scraps for the lids. The lids and bottoms got smaller and smaller as the scraps got more and more worked. Ah well they’re done. My favorite is the one with the small pedestal base. It’s nicknamed robo box. There were quite a few more but they got given away before the camera came out.

The lack of walnut is a bit ironic. They took so long to get done, with so much fiddling for the lack of good sized walnut pieces…. and now I’m awash with walnut.

Take a look at the next post.

Oh sorry. The boxes are made from the spalted (nearly rotted) ends from a bunch of birch boards.

I am glad to see my friends aren’t the only ones who sometimes get Christmas in July. Looks like they are well worth the wait.
