A quick afternoon project. Since I live in an apartment I have to use hand tools (I really don’t wish to live in a dusty mess and we all know how power tools kick up dust). This took a little longer than I had anticipated but it was a great time. My son asked why I put a tiny heart in the copper, I simply answered, “because I can”

Diagonal are used to check that your boxes are square. Just as you would with measuring tape or ruler, but you don’t have to measure.

Good job, Billy! These really do come in handy. Am I seeing Windsor Design chisels on your bench? How do you like them? I have a set and they have become my favorites … especially the 1-1/2” chisel.

Nice bench by the way!
