Made a pair of these Waterfall edge Benches for a friend of mine. Made each one from a single board of 8/4 Spalted Hard Maple.

Used Dominos for the Joinery and cut the Miters with a Festool TS 75 TS75

The Joinery was a breeze, and I’m glad I got the TS75 over the TS 55 as I basically used the maximum capacity of the Saw on this cut.

If you’re gonna use benches with that table, the table’s leg design is super disadvantageous compared to a trestle setup (think about getting in and out).

Quite nice individually.

Very good point. Made these for a friend. Was their design. They did not even have that table when they asked me to make them. They have 6 little kids and the adults sit at either end, they claim it’s working out well.

Great waterfall effect on the benches and I like the choice of wood, which looks like ambrosia maple.

Thanks so much, I’ve done some waterfall tables, but the grain patter wasn’t as interesting so there was not much benefit. This wood is gorgeous.

It was sold as Spalted Wormy Hard Maple. Can’t tell you much more, might be Ambrosia

Have your say...
