Maple Mallet

This is the mallet I made for chiseling or whatever else I need to whack. I shaped the handle on a bandsaw and router and it is the most comfortable handle I have ever held. Made from Hard Maple. As you might be able to tell from the picture I have already been using it for a while.

Yes siree, Blake, that’s a major denomination knockometer. Just don’t let your wife get a-hold of it!!

Looks rock solid! And the handle does look comfortable! Also, smart to angle the faces.

I just got a batch of hard maple. Guess I know one thing I will be making with it!

God Bless,

Nice mallet! Did you put any kind of finish on it, or is it just bare?

Nice mallet. It’s good to have a project that can be used to hit things with.

Great mallet Blake, i make a bunch of mallets but they never seem to come as nice. I may post a cherry and oak mallet that I use and abuse.

I’ve made a couple out of oak that I use all the time.
