We eat a lot of sushi in my house, so…sushi board! I cut a seven degree bevel on all outside edges, and that presented an interesting challenge for a beginner like me. For safety reasons, I wanted to cut the bevel on the board prior to attaching the legs. (I cut this at the table saw). I then used the miter gauge to cut the bevel on the legs, and it took quite a bit of sneaking up on exactly the right length…followed by a lot of sanding the end grain of that purpleheart, which is slow going.

Overall, a fun little project! Cherry, purpleheart and hard maple.
