Tardis End Grain Cutting Board

I made a Tardis end grain cutting for a geeky newlywed couple’s wedding gift. I used walnut, maple and cherry. I almost made the mistake of including sassafras. This was my first end grain cutting board and I really enjoyed making it. I sealed the board with mineral oil followed by a coat of a mineral oil + beeswax paste.

Really nice work Ashley :) Would seem a shame to use it, but then again I like the idea that it’s functional and will be enjoyed by others :)
